Four names came back when an AI answer was asked on 23 September 2026 which AI agency in Leipzig delivers AI projects for small and medium-sized companies: KI Brains, rxm solutions, Prometheus Research and next.motion AI. We then read their legal notices. The companies are based in Cologne, Kiel, Dresden and Gera.
That is not an accusation. All four run a dedicated Leipzig page, and AI consulting works across 80 kilometres or over a video call. But if you are looking for AI consulting in Leipzig, you should know what sits behind the names: who signs the contract, how long the drive to a workshop takes and what a project is allowed to cost.

KI Brains, rxm solutions, Prometheus Research and next.motion AI all offer a free first call according to their websites. Prometheus Research and next.motion AI put it at about 30 minutes.
Where are the AI agencies for Leipzig actually based?
None of the four providers from the AI answer has its registered seat in Leipzig. That says nothing about the quality of their work. It says something about the effort involved when someone has to come to your office for a process workshop or a training session.
The providers are open about it. Asked on its own page whether it has an office in Leipzig, Prometheus Research points to its office in Dresden and regular on-site visits. next.motion AI does the maths: 80 kilometres from Gera, about 60 minutes by road. KI Brains says its team is available remotely and in person in Leipzig on request. The KI Brains page links the same service for other cities too, among them Berlin, Chemnitz, Dresden, Erfurt, Halle and Magdeburg. The rxm solutions Leipzig page says nothing about getting to Leipzig, and its legal notice names Kiel.
Two points are worth settling before the first meeting.
- Who is your contracting party? next.motion AI states it plainly in its legal notice: consulting is delivered by its sister company next.motion Consulting GmbH, not by the OHG. Details like this belong in the quote before you sign.
- How often do you need someone on site? For mapping a process and for training on your own case, one meeting in your office is often faster than three video calls. For development and support, distance hardly matters.
What does an AI agency in Leipzig cost?
Three of the five providers publish price ranges, and they sit far apart. Prometheus Research quotes projects from the low four figures and targets SMEs with 5 to 50 employees. next.motion AI quotes 1,500 to 3,000 euros for an assessment and 8,000 to 25,000 euros for an implementation project. KI Brains quotes 10,000 to 150,000 euros for typical projects, pilots from 5,000 euros and a scoping workshop for 1,500 euros that is credited if you go ahead.
rxm solutions and Pharen do not publish project prices. With us, the effort depends on the process, the integrations and the operating model. The ranges are only partly comparable. An assessment is not a pilot, and a pilot is not an ERP integration. So ask every provider what exactly the price covers: process mapping, build, testing with real cases, training and the time afterwards.
Leipzig also has a funding advantage. Companies in the city of Leipzig, the district of Leipzig and Nordsachsen can still apply for the digitalisation grant of the Sächsische Aufbaubank, while applications in ten other Saxon regions have been suspended since 17 July 2026. Which AI agency fits which project?
Which agency fits depends less on location than on what should be running at the end. The focus areas the providers name themselves give a first direction.
- A small budget and your own servers: Prometheus Research says it uses open source tools on the customer’s server, without licence costs, for companies with 5 to 50 employees.
- Consulting and training with an industry angle: next.motion AI names automotive, logistics, e-commerce, energy, media and health tech, and publishes fixed ranges for assessment and implementation.
- Larger integrations into ERP, shop and inventory systems: KI Brains names interfaces to SAP, Microsoft Dynamics and Oracle, local AI on your own server and, by its own count, more than 700 projects delivered since 2010.
- Custom software with AI components, plus an app or website: rxm solutions offers document recognition, chatbots and image recognition alongside AI consulting, as well as app and web development.
- An office process that runs on mail, Excel and shouting across the room today: this is where we start. For the first step, Saxony has publicly funded services without a fee. KI-Hub Sachsen-Thüringen trains small and medium-sized companies in AI basics and practical use, Zukunftszentrum Sachsen offers workshops and advice on digital change, and Digitalagentur Sachsen points the way to funding programmes and networks.
