01 What is Pharen Hub?
Pharen Hub is an all-in-one workspace that combines email, chat, documents, calendar, tasks, CRM and AI agents in one platform. Instead of buying and managing 5–10 different tools, you get everything from one source. Open fair-code, self-hosted or cloud.
02 How is Pharen Hub different from Slack, Google Workspace and Asana?
The biggest difference: Pharen Hub replaces all these tools in one platform. Slack is chat only, Google Workspace is email + docs, Asana is tasks only. You pay per user for each tool — quickly reaching 100–200 € per employee per month. Pharen Hub costs a flat fee per workspace (49 €/month), regardless of team size.
03 Can I self-host Pharen Hub?
Yes. Pharen Hub is open fair-code and can run on your own servers. The Free plan is specifically designed for self-hosting. You keep full control over your data.
04 Is Pharen Hub really open source?
Pharen Hub is open fair-code. The entire source code is publicly available on GitHub. You can self-host it, fork it, and participate in its development. The difference from pure open source: We ask companies that benefit commercially to make a fair contribution.
05 How does AI billing work?
AI usage (model calls, agent runs, automations) is billed by actual consumption. You only pay for what you use. We charge a transparent 20% margin on the raw provider costs. Scales with your success, not against it.
06 Who is Pharen Hub for?
Pharen Hub is for teams and companies of all sizes. From 5-person startups (free, self-hosted) to mid-sized companies (49 €/workspace/month) to enterprise with custom requirements (SAML/SSO, SLA, dedicated infrastructure).
07 What additional costs are there besides the flat fee?
Beyond the flat fee per workspace, only AI usage is billed by consumption. No hidden per-user fees, no setup fees, no minimum contract terms. Enterprise customers pay individually by agreement.
08 Can I use Pharen Hub in the cloud?
Yes. You can choose between self-hosted (full control) and cloud (managed by Pharen). With the cloud version, we host and maintain the infrastructure for you. Both options are included in all plans.
09 What integrations does Pharen Hub support?
Pharen Hub offers native integrations for email (IMAP/SMTP), calendar (CalDAV), contacts (CardDAV) and connectors to common CRM and ERP systems. The Business plan includes advanced integrations, Enterprise gets custom integrations.
10 How secure is my data with Pharen Hub?
With self-hosting, your data stays entirely on your infrastructure. In the cloud, we host on German servers (GDPR-compliant). Enterprise customers get private deployment, security review and guaranteed uptime via SLA. As an open fair-code product, security can be independently audited at any time.
