Information about accessible use of pharen.de and Pharen Hub, functions, validation standards, known limitations, feedback and market surveillance.
1. Provider and service described
The provider is Pharen IT GmbH, Hauptstraße 40
04683 Naunhof OT Fuchshain
Germany, email info@pharen.de.
pharen.de provides information about Pharen, product features, services, pricing, projects and editorial content. Users can contact us, join an early-access list, open an external appointment service and configure self-hosted licences.
Pharen Hub is a browser-based workspace for email, messaging, meetings, calendars, contacts, documents, tasks, knowledge, workflows, integrations and AI-assisted features. Available modules depend on plan, role and configuration.
2. How the service works
- Public content is available through primary navigation, page headings, links and the footer.
- Forms use visible labels, required-field identification and understandable status messages.
- The Hub is used after sign-in. Navigation and work areas support keyboard and pointer interaction; permissions determine visible functions.
- For complex content, list, detail, search and filter views are available where technically provided.
- Direct email remains an alternative to external appointment and media services.
3. Requirements and validation standard
We align design, development and editorial maintenance with applicable requirements of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and BFSGV. Our technical validation standard includes EN 301 549, Section 9, and additionally WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
Testing combines automated checks with manual review, including keyboard operation, focus order, zoom, contrast, forms and screen-reader sampling. This information is not a certification or a claim of complete conformance in every use case.
4. Technical and editorial measures
- Semantic regions, heading hierarchy, a skip target for main content and a logical reading order.
- Keyboard-accessible navigation and interactive elements with visible focus indicators.
- Labelled forms, programmatically determinable names and understandable error and status messages.
- Scalable text, responsive layouts, sufficient contrast and information that is not conveyed by colour alone.
- Language metadata for German and English pages and text alternatives for relevant images.
- Support for reduced-motion system settings and pausable or avoidable animation where required.
- Decorative service animations are hidden from assistive technology and are not loaded when the reduced-motion system setting is enabled.
5. Known limitations
Highly complex visual work surfaces such as workflow, whiteboard, presentation or media editors may include individual functions that are not yet equivalently usable with keyboard-only operation or certain screen-reader combinations. We are working to make core actions additionally available through labelled controls and structured views.
Content created by users, integrations or AI systems may lack alternative text, use unsuitable headings or contain other barriers. The organisation creating such customer data also has responsibility for its accessibility.
Embedded or linked third-party services, particularly YouTube, Outlook appointment booking, identity providers and connected integrations, may have accessibility barriers outside our full control.
6. Reporting barriers and requesting support
If you encounter a barrier or need information in another accessible format, email info@pharen.de. If possible, include the affected page or function, the issue, browser, device and assistive technology.
We review reports and respond with an assessment or accessible alternative. Even where an external feature is affected, we will try to provide a practical contact or usage alternative.
7. Market surveillance under the BFSG
Germany's joint federal-state Market Surveillance Authority for the Accessibility of Products and Services (MLBF AöR) is responsible for central market surveillance under the BFSG.
